What I’ve done recently with AI in the legal sphere:
I created a PRA tool for tracking public access requests. The tool tracks the date of the request, the content of the request, summarizes the request, categorizes it, and adds the deadline for the response. It tracks and logs the response date and response text, and summarizes it.
Document naming: I created a Python-coded tool that searches PDFs for relevant dates, pulls the party name, names the document as yyyy_mm-dd_topic. Topic can be recipient, other party, etc.
NotebookLM: I make ample use of NotebookLM, the “closed source” AI tool. Absolutely indispensable. Listen to your project as if it were an audio podcast, ask and get answers without concern for “hallucinations,” get reports, spreadsheets, etc., on the data sources you enter. And you can load up quite a bit of data. Must have. Must use.
