The Legal Workflow Assessment

A fixed-scope diagnostic of the gap between the systems your legal team was given and the ones it actually uses — plus a roadmap to close it.

What it is

A structured, three-week engagement. I interview your legal and legal-ops people, review how work actually flows (intake, contracts, obligations, deadlines, reporting), and map where the sanctioned tools are being bypassed and why. Vendor-neutral — I’m not reselling anyone’s software.

Price

$9,500, fixed. Three weeks. Fully creditable toward a follow-on design or implementation engagement booked within 90 days. (Follow-on engagements typically run $25,000–$75,000 depending on scope.)

I set the assessment at $9,500 because that is the standard price point for a senior, productized diagnostic to a mid-market buyer — high enough to signal seniority and filter tire-kickers, low enough to be an easy yes against the risk it removes.

What you get

  • A clear map of your current legal workflows and where they break down
  • An inventory of provisioned-but-unused tools and the reasons they aren’t sticking
  • A specific read on AI use — where your team is already using it, and where that creates hallucination or data-exposure risk
  • A prioritized remediation roadmap: quick wins, medium-term fixes, and what to leave alone
  • A findings session with you and your team

Who it’s for

  • General counsel and deputy GCs at mid-market companies
  • Legal operations leads inheriting tools they didn’t choose
  • Legal teams running critical work in spreadsheets and email
  • Departments that have bought software but haven’t changed how they work

Where it leads

The assessment is the on-ramp, not the destination. When it points to real work, the common next steps are workflow and system design, hands-on implementation, and safe AI enablement — building lightweight, compliant processes that fit inside, or safely alongside, what IT already provides.
